The referee ignored Seigaku FC's protests and gave Roberto Osma a yellow card for diving instead. Tiniebra Berganza's late challenge caught a Chagaragato's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiniebra Berganza helped the player get up and apologised. Tiniebra Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Tiniebra Berganza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seigaku FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ekain Reneros in the 15th minute of play forced Chagaragato's goalkeeper Unax Tanasio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chagaragato's Remigio Guillamas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gregorio Galdamez in the 17 minute of the game. In the 18th minute Lander Sagarribay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Almaraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ikatz Guismonde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Chagaragato's Lander Sagarribay in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unax Tanasio made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Tiniebra Berganza sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute, Octavio Aspurua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seigaku FC's goalkeeper Rosendo Almaraz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Seigaku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Guillamas came free, but Rosendo Almaraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chagaragato's Ikatz Guismonde got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Chagaragato were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Tiniebra Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitorino Abendano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rosendo Almaraz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 minutes, Fonda Carmeneses mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chagaragato and the Seigaku FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Chagaragato:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Seigaku FC:s goal. Chagaragato:s Unax Tanasio showed great skill when he stopped Cuarto Feruel:s penalty. 77 minutes into the match, Seigaku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ikatz Guismonde came free, but Rosendo Almaraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Ikatz Guismonde got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Seigaku FC's Rosendo Almaraz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Seigaku FC from getting a goal against them. If Lander Sagarribay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Lander Sagarribay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lander Sagarribay came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Chagaragato fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lander Sagarribay couldn't finish the play. Remigio Guillamas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rosendo Almaraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ikatz Guismonde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute.
