Rosendo Almaraz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gizon Hudobro's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. When Cuarto Feruel fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seigaku FC's protests and gave Cuarto Feruel a yellow card for diving instead. Cuarto Feruel hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Darien Infiesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Almaraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Chivacure getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Fortun Bermudez hit a great ball. Fabricio Puget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekain Reneros in the 26th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Seigaku FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Osma. 30 minutes into the match, Chivacure's Osorio Torcida broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Octavio Aspurua's late challenge caught a Chivacure's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Aspurua helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Seigaku FC got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Aspurua. After a defensive mix-up in Seigaku FC's zone, Gizon Hudobro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Almaraz came out of the goal and Gizon Hudobro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Darien Infiesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Gizon Hudobro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Seigaku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gizon Hudobro came free, but Rosendo Almaraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gizon Hudobro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Chivacure's goal looked a bit too open when Ekain Reneros came free, but Fabricio Puget reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ekain Reneros made the kick off in the second half. Rosendo Almaraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darien Infiesto in the 53rd minute of the match. Fabricio Puget took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiniebra Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosendo Almaraz made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Darien Infiesto sent off a good shot on target. If Ekain Reneros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Osma charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roberto Osma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roberto Osma hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Gizon Hudobro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Almaraz having to interfere. When Darien Infiesto came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Chivacure fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darien Infiesto couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Seigaku FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gregorio Galdamez hit a great ball.
