In the 4th minute, Venceslao Guezmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jordi Igareda got free with Xzaver Cavite in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Vito Taranco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donostia Posadillo. Tabaro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vito Taranco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Jordi Igareda came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Tabaro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordi Igareda couldn't finish the play. If Jordi Igareda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vito Taranco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Donostia Posadillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Froylan Elguera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Froylan Elguera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aragua's supporters rose to their feet, but Froylan Elguera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Crispo Villaverde to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Jordi Igareda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabaro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jordi Igareda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xzaver Cavite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xzaver Cavite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Crispo Villaverde in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Aragua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Brugos to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Tabaro FC got a corner. Aragua's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emmanuel Viana ran over to the corner to take the kick. 63 minutes into the match, Tabaro FC's goalkeeper Donostia Posadillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vito Taranco. Xzaver Cavite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jordi Igareda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jordi Igareda scored 2-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xzaver Cavite, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aragua's Xzaver Cavite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordi Igareda in the 70th minute of play. When Crispo Villaverde came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Tabaro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Crispo Villaverde couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Aragua defense, Crispo Villaverde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xzaver Cavite. The Aragua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xzaver Cavite should have stopped the shot. Xzaver Cavite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Crispo Villaverde went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Jordi Igareda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xzaver Cavite having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tabaro FC had played much better football throughout.
