An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Taranco in the 22nd minute of play forced real bolivar col's goalkeeper Leon Cantera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Cantera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froylan Elguera, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The referee gave Aragua a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rencio Anderica, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of real bolivar col's Leon Cantera. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Froylan Elguera was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, one of Aragua:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aragua. Xzaver Cavite had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Ermengol Izana's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 59th minute, Vito Taranco fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With his leg Leon Cantera managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Aragua's Vito Taranco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, real bolivar col's Leon Cantera got control of the ball when Vito Taranco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th match minute, real bolivar col was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Iturbide to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 95 minutes, Nacho Caballol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. real bolivar col's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nacho Caballol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Aragua could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than real bolivar col throughout the match.
