But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Astiago couldn't finish the play. Hermengildo Najera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Doblas's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Hermengildo Najera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Doblas in the 23rd minute of the match. Marino Termiñon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iban Aberasturi having to interfere. Hermengildo Najera was a little too slow when Aurelio Doblas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Garcia Cifontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Hermengildo Najera made a huge save. In the 38th match minute, Conuquito FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garcia Cifontes to maneuver through the defense. Iban Aberasturi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marino Termiñon's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Aurelio Doblas struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Hermengildo Najera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conuquito FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Errolan Arrascarate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 56 minutes, Marino Termiñon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaimaro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marino Termiñon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Etxatxu Martiniana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bittor Alamasa during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 70 minutes into the game, Rafael Carnero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guaimaro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Conuquito FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Etxatxu Martiniana in the 72nd minute of play forced Guaimaro's goalkeeper Hermengildo Najera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes Guaimaro got a freekick which was hit by Patrido Villaverde. Garcia Cifontes charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garcia Cifontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Iban Aberasturi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marino Termiñon in the 81st minute of the match. Conuquito FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Guaimaro for a fine match.
