In the 4th match minute, La Nueva P was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tercero Viñaspre to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Xose Fariñada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Maparaca FC's Inguma Paul slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Efraim Lazcano. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Efraim Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mergildo Yebra in the 22nd minute of play. If Poz Posadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Maparaca FC booed when La Nueva P was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Poz Posadas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Maparaca FC's Efraim Lazcano threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mergildo Yebra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mergildo Yebra in the 38th minute of play forced La Nueva P's goalkeeper Efraim Lazcano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pablo-Enrique Tixido fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maparaca FC's protests and gave Pablo-Enrique Tixido a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Maparaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Pablo-Enrique Tixido. After 42 played minutes La Nueva P got a freekick which was hit by Perfecto Aguila. Efraim Lazcano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo-Enrique Tixido in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mergildo Yebra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Isaias Gipuzkoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xose Fariñada in the 60th minute of play forced La Nueva P's goalkeeper Efraim Lazcano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
