If Rosio Payno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 6 minutes, Dario Pulido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Filadelfia FC and the Acarigua City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dario Pulido hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Virila Sanjuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Virila Sanjuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ekain Termiñoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Munis having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Virila Sanjuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leo Munis was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Acarigua City's zone, Olo Ruedas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harkaitz Moraza came out of the goal and Olo Ruedas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osmundo Zamarripa kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Virila Sanjuan struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Leo Munis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acarigua City. If Xzavier Chirinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Dei Socorro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acarigua City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Leo Munis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virila Sanjuan in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Acarigua City's Virila Sanjuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Munis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Acarigua City's Fero Ahelle got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fero Ahelle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olo Ruedas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Virila Sanjuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Munis having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Filadelfia FC's goalkeeper Leo Munis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virila Sanjuan. Virila Sanjuan in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leo Munis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Xzavier Chirinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Acarigua City's Ekain Termiñoso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. 80 minutes into the match, Acarigua City's goal looked a bit too open when Olo Ruedas came free, but Harkaitz Moraza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Virila Sanjuan came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Acarigua City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virila Sanjuan couldn't finish the play. Dario Pulido kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Xzavier Chirinos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harkaitz Moraza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fero Ahelle hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Leo Munis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fero Ahelle in the 95th minute of the match. Virila Sanjuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Munis having to interfere. Acarigua City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
