Egoi Panizo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Deportivo Andes's goalkeeper Cordairo Urraburu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martinez Ibañez. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Horacio Rojica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Andes's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Rojica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egoi Panizo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ball had pretty good speed, but Egoi Panizo firmly grabbed it by the left post.
