After a defensive mix-up in Ganadores F.C's zone, Mikolas Marcilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rencio Pernia came out of the goal and Mikolas Marcilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quintin Chapado hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Ganadores F.C's goalkeeper Rencio Pernia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horacio Rojica. During the 24th minute of the match Quintin Chapado completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Quintin Chapado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 24 played minutes Ganadores F.C got a freekick which was hit by Quintin Chapado. A collision led to Deportivo Andes getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mikolas Marcilla hit a great ball. Albino Adarzo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cordairo Urraburu. Deportivo Andes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ganadores F.C's zone, Horacio Rojica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rencio Pernia came out of the goal and Horacio Rojica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute Bastiaro Pelayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rencio Pernia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Ganadores F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Aldeco. If Horacio Rojica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Severino Holguin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Andes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ganadores F.C the free kick. After 45 played minutes Deportivo Andes got a freekick which was hit by Severino Holguin. After 47 played minutes, Deportivo Andes's Vladimiro Eibar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rencio Pernia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Andes reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
