Marques Brasa started the match with the kick off. REAL MADRID's Rogerio Amileta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Carrion in the 3rd minute of play. After some careless play in the REAL MADRID defense, Augusto Carrion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogerio Amileta. The REAL MADRID fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogerio Amileta should have stopped the shot. Augusto Carrion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogerio Amileta having to interfere. Marques Brasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Evaristo Tejeyra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perutxo Lizana in the 18th minute of play forced REAL MADRID's goalkeeper Rogerio Amileta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th match minute, REAL MADRID was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Abrego to maneuver through the defense. Rogerio Amileta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortun Pliego, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Ferrer Villaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Carrion in the 36th minute of play forced REAL MADRID's goalkeeper Rogerio Amileta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marques Brasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Marques Brasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Tejeyra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Caetano Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Evaristo Tejeyra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Fernandez in the 55th minute of the match. REAL MADRID's Rogerio Amileta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save REAL MADRID from getting a goal against them. REAL MADRID's Rogerio Amileta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Carrion in the 66th minute of play. If Marques Brasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Carrion was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Conoguapa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Caetano Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaristo Tejeyra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. Marques Brasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Tejeyra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Conoguapa's zone, Marques Brasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Tejeyra came out of the goal and Marques Brasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camilo Malmonje charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Malmonje the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, REAL MADRID's Camilo Malmonje got a free kick in the 98th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Augusto Carrion kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rogerio Amileta. That made the score 0-3 in the 101 minute of play. The Conoguapa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Conoguapa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
