Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erubiel Freiria started the match with the kick off. Kinsen Alzedar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Menendo Galisteo made a huge save. If Erubiel Sevane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 10 minutes, Caio Valer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Valer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Erubiel Freiria fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tancipay's protests and gave Erubiel Freiria a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Tancipay got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Freiria. After a defensive mix-up in Carate's zone, Erubiel Freiria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Menendo Galisteo came out of the goal and Erubiel Freiria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Freiria in the 17th minute of play forced Carate's goalkeeper Menendo Galisteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tancipay's Kinsen Alzedar got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carate's goalkeeper Menendo Galisteo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Kinsen Alzedar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 30 minutes, Kinsen Alzedar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guib Jubitero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koldo Oresti, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Erubiel Freiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Carate a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Silvestre Machado, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tancipay's Guib Jubitero. 0-1. After the first half Carate were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erubiel Sevane was the one to do the kick off. Kinsen Alzedar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cresitobalo Garrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kinsen Alzedar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Menendo Galisteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 minutes, Mitxel Monar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carate and the Tancipay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tancipay booed when Carate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitxel Monar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cresitobalo Garrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Tancipay's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Sevane came free, but Guib Jubitero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kinsen Alzedar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Carate's Koldo Oresti got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 83 played minutes Carate got a freekick which was hit by Koldo Oresti. Menendo Galisteo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kinsen Alzedar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Caio Valer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Gelmiro Huemen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tancipay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carate the free kick. Gelmiro Huemen hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Kinsen Alzedar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Tancipay lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
