The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Burere FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isusko Bartolome to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Oto Laureano sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Victorino Vilela threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Oto Laureano this time. When Isusko Bartolome fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burere FC's protests and gave Isusko Bartolome a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Burere FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isusko Bartolome to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute of the match, Alvarez Saribiarte got a very nice opportunity to score, but Victorino Vilela was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 19 minutes into the game, Pepito Candolias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Poncio Villoldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Osmundo Belandia came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Burere FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osmundo Belandia couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Burere FC's zone, Alvarez Saribiarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Vilela came out of the goal and Alvarez Saribiarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Poncio Villoldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmundo Belandia in the 38th minute of the match. After 39 minutes, Gomesano Cuellar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sapo and the Burere FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Sapo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gomesano Cuellar to maneuver through the defense. Pepito Candolias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Burere FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 55th minute Osmundo Belandia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Poncio Villoldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmundo Belandia in the 57th minute of play forced Sapo's goalkeeper Poncio Villoldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramon Izcaray kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. With a little luck, Sapo's Poncio Villoldo got control of the ball when Pepito Candolias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvarez Saribiarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Chayo Magaña fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sapo's protests and gave Chayo Magaña a yellow card for diving instead. Chayo Magaña hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Pepito Candolias struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Poncio Villoldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burere FC.
