The supporters of Bejuma booed when Macarillita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oriche Vara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucero Alberca came out of the goal and Salvador Verdenosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Gillermo Candelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bejuma's supporters rose to their feet, but Gillermo Candelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucero Alberca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Perutxo Quiñones's late challenge caught a Macarillita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perutxo Quiñones helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bejuma's Perutxo Quiñones got a free kick in the 58th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Macarillita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gillermo Candelo came free, but Lucero Alberca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bemabe Castañera fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macarillita FC's protests and gave Bemabe Castañera a yellow card for diving instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
