The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 27th minute, Veto Bulnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Latoncito FC's Furtado Magaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Lluberas in the 29th minute of play. Veto Bulnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gartzea Batalle having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Veto Bulnes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Latoncito FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Veto Bulnes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gartzea Batalle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mucuse's Gartzea Batalle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Mucuse from getting a goal against them. Veto Bulnes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gartzea Batalle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Veto Bulnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeruko Negral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Lluberas to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Dubardo Bañuelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee ignored Mucuse's protests and gave Cristos Vicuña a yellow card for diving instead. 64 minutes into the game, one of Mucuse:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Latoncito FC a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Palos Sendin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mucuse's Gartzea Batalle. 1-0. In the 73rd minute, Veto Bulnes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gartzea Batalle was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 76th minute Celio Cantolla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gartzea Batalle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uhin Lezarreta kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Latoncito FC's Celio Cantolla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gartzea Batalle narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
