Ariel Cotillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palencia FC's Cresitobalo Muzquiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jusepe Luna in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Cesario Vascones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jusepe Luna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cresitobalo Muzquiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jusepe Luna in the 21st minute. After 22 played minutes Barlovento FC got a freekick which was hit by Estevam Olano. Jusepe Luna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesario Vascones came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cresitobalo Muzquiz could save by the left post. 38 minutes into the match, Jusepe Luna dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cresitobalo Muzquiz, 1-0. In the 42nd minute, Barlovento FC's Cesario Vascones ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cresitobalo Muzquiz. Cresitobalo Muzquiz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ariel Cotillo to strike the kick off in the second half. If Quinto Frenes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ariel Cotillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Austin Bulnes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Barlovento FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lizar Archuleta to maneuver through the defense. Austin Bulnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Villavicencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Ariel Cotillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austin Bulnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jusepe Luna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quinto Frenes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jusepe Luna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cresitobalo Muzquiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cesario Vascones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Palencia FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Xesus Lagarejos hit a great ball. Jusepe Luna scored 3-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cresitobalo Muzquiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Quinto Frenes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Victor Sarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ariel Cotillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palencia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Cotillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Austin Bulnes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 minutes, Cilio Dosal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palencia FC and the Barlovento FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Palencia FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Cilio Dosal hit a great ball. If Cesario Vascones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barlovento FC booed when Palencia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lopez Cachurro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Barlovento FC had won after a very even match.
