In the 7th minute, Dolcet Cuadrado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernandez Espelz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Chiguana FC's Tximitx Toresano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hever Sandines made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Jusepe Marquina's late challenge caught a Pijigua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jusepe Marquina helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Chiguana FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jusepe Marquina hit a great ball. Chiguana FC's Jusepe Marquina got his second yellow card of the match in the 16th minute. The referee ordered Jusepe Marquina off the ground. Pijigua's Dolcet Cuadrado managed to work through Chiguana FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Dolcet Cuadrado dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 24 minutes into the match, Tximitx Toresano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hever Sandines. Pijigua's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tximitx Toresano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 32 minutes into the match, Pijigua's Izel Goya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernandez Espelz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute of the match Stefano Arellanes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernandez Espelz skillfully saved the ball. Dolcet Cuadrado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Izel Goya reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hernandez Espelz. The goal made the score 2-2. Dolcet Cuadrado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Hernandez Espelz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in Chiguana FC's zone, Dolcet Cuadrado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernandez Espelz came out of the goal and Dolcet Cuadrado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Izel Goya in the 60th minute of play forced Chiguana FC's goalkeeper Hernandez Espelz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pijigua getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Juan-Alfredo Portanares hit a great ball. Tximitx Toresano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrea Chico kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Stefano Arellanes came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Pijigua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefano Arellanes couldn't finish the play. Hernandez Espelz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izel Goya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Izel Goya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Hernandez Espelz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pijigua booed when Chiguana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Alcedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pijigua's Izel Goya got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
