Botijon's Jaunti Valderrabano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastiano Valbas in the 13th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Mirimirito got a freekick which was hit by Inocente Gordejuela. 28 minutes into the match, Mirimirito's goalkeeper Remicio Darroja had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Txilar Landaburu. In the 29th minute Lisandro Mendaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remicio Darroja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lisandro Mendaña might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remicio Darroja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lisandro Mendaña ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, Inocente Gordejuela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Txilar Landaburu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mirimirito's Remicio Darroja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Mirimirito from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Mendaña made a kick off. Remir Opazo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mirimirito's goalkeeper Remicio Darroja, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Remicio Darroja stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Txilar Landaburu's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Urritz Faubelo charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urritz Faubelo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Mirimirito got a freekick which was hit by Urritz Faubelo. Cordaryal Cuerno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Jaunti Valderrabano made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Silvino Raimundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Txilar Landaburu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Txilar Landaburu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remicio Darroja having to interfere. Remicio Darroja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Mendaña in the 96th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mirimirito defense, Lisandro Mendaña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remicio Darroja. The Mirimirito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remicio Darroja should have stopped the shot. Mirimirito's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
