The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aresti Porras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan-Alfredo Prelo in the 5th minute of the match. Aresti Porras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan-Alfredo Prelo in the 6th minute of play. Juan-Alfredo Prelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aresti Porras having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Juan-Alfredo Prelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serrucho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan-Alfredo Prelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aresti Porras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Juan-Alfredo Prelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Faron Haza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aresti Porras was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faron Haza was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute, one of Serrucho FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Serrucho FC. In the 67th minute Faron Haza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aresti Porras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juajillal FC's Aresti Porras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Juajillal FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Piearres Zaldua in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chorche Vandoma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marcelo Lerea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, Piearres Zaldua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juajillal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Piearres Zaldua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Cidro Salamanca made a precise shot to the right of Chorche Vandoma. Serrucho FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Serrucho FC's Juan-Alfredo Prelo managed to work through Juajillal FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Juan-Alfredo Prelo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Serrucho FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Juajillal FC.
