The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Flavio Barquerin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villarroel and the Ventura players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Villarroel's Flavio Barquerin got a free kick in the 4th minute. Nicolao Cañucal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eguen Lombana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolao Cañucal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christobal Arramendia's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Nicolao Cañucal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eguen Lombana, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Flavio Barquerin kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Manex Arana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villarroel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ventura the free kick. A collision led to Villarroel getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. The crowd rose to their feet as Christobal Arramendia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicolao Cañucal. That made the score 0-3 in the 66 minute of play. In the 69th minute, Ereinotz Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ventura's Guillerme Heces got a free kick in the 70th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Ventura's Christobal Arramendia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolao Cañucal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei Bardece in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nabar Casarin saved Ventura from getting behind. Nabar Casarin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ereinotz Fernandez in the 90th minute of the match. Claudinei Bardece sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Villarroel getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Flavio Barquerin hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ventura walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
