Benjamin Ariztimuño stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Palban Alseda's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cumbo FC's zone, Felix Ontanilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benat Varela came out of the goal and Felix Ontanilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamin Ariztimuño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palban Alseda in the 22nd minute of play. Benat Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Ontanilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Eliu Zubizarrieta came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Cumbo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliu Zubizarrieta couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the game, Aureliano Gaviña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cumbo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guarivaca FC the free kick. The supporters of Guarivaca FC booed when Cumbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Gaviña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benat Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eguerdi Seda, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Felix Ontanilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Guarivaca FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Palban Alseda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eliu Zubizarrieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Ariztimuño having to interfere. Maximino Liquiñano charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Liquiñano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Cumbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Liquiñano. 44 minutes into the match, Cumbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eguerdi Seda came free, but Benat Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Palban Alseda to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Guarivaca FC defense, Eliu Zubizarrieta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Ariztimuño. The Guarivaca FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Ariztimuño should have stopped the shot. When Eliu Zubizarrieta came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Cumbo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliu Zubizarrieta couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Guarivaca FC booed when Cumbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palban Alseda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Guarivaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Xavion Ponce. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Eliu Zubizarrieta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cumbo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliu Zubizarrieta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Ariztimuño breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute Palban Alseda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Ariztimuño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliu Zubizarrieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Orlin Gauna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Ariztimuño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliu Zubizarrieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Guarivaca FC's Eguerdi Seda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benat Varela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After some careless play in the Cumbo FC defense, Orlin Gauna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benat Varela. The Cumbo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benat Varela should have stopped the shot. The Guarivaca FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
