Polo Oropesa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mel Gos. Paigua's Blasi Bustelo got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Paigua's goal looked a bit too open when Ceandro Aguirol came free, but Cutberto Asuaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesareo Platas charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesareo Platas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Paigua getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Cesareo Platas hit a great ball. Polo Oropesa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blasi Bustelo in the 11th minute of the match. Montrell Hermida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blasi Bustelo in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Polo Oropesa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Montrell Hermida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phelipe Rusoto kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Ceandro Aguirol put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cutberto Asuaga. Cutberto Asuaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hurko Ageitos in the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Hurko Ageitos made the kick off in the second half. Zumar Yaner's late challenge caught a Paigua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zumar Yaner helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Legión Vinotinto FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Paigua:s goal. In the 59thth minute of the game Montrell Hermida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Legión Vinotinto FC's Polo Oropesa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cutberto Asuaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceandro Aguirol in the 61st minute. Blasi Bustelo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Polo Oropesa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Paigua booed when Legión Vinotinto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bibiano Joli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Legión Vinotinto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Blasi Bustelo came free, but Polo Oropesa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Blasi Bustelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Montrell Hermida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Legión Vinotinto FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ramiro Atauri hit a great ball. Cutberto Asuaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hurko Ageitos, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 79 played minutes Legión Vinotinto FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Quijada. Polo Oropesa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Montrell Hermida went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 84th match minute, Legión Vinotinto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Quijada to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the game, Paigua's Montrell Hermida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Polo Oropesa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After having played for 90 minutes, Montrell Hermida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paigua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Montrell Hermida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cutberto Asuaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hurko Ageitos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Legión Vinotinto FC's Polo Oropesa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blasi Bustelo in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th match minute, Legión Vinotinto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bibiano Joli to maneuver through the defense. Montrell Hermida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Legión Vinotinto FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Paigua.
