An unexpectedly hard shot by Odon Goicoolea in the 24th minute of play forced Quiri's goalkeeper Matias Notes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matias Notes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odon Goicoolea in the 30th minute of play. Anauco's Enekoitz Curbelo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Anauco from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the game, Dimas Zubieta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anauco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quiri the free kick. Dimas Zubieta hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donato Ascarza made a kick off. Enekoitz Curbelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uzuri Olazabala in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th minute, Uzuri Olazabala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Uzuri Olazabala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Lujo got free with Matias Notes in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Clemente Lujo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes Quiri got a freekick which was hit by Mirande Torto. Matias Notes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odon Goicoolea, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Anauco's Odon Goicoolea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matias Notes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Anauco walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
