When Bras Pico came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Mahomito fans jumped to their feet. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliverio Telego made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naike Bradi in the 54th minute of play forced Kennedy FC's goalkeeper Aresti Illescas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mahomito fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Mahomito's Bras Pico looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th minute Omar Arango suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Oliverio Telego charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Edmundo Romaza kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Joaquin Gallinas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aresti Illescas having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bras Pico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aresti Illescas was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
