Víktor de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Bettencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Bettencourt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Víktor de Salles. CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Bettencourt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jaen Viñas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandalio Mocellar in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³'s Jacek Solibieda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaen Viñas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³ getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tor Tugay hit a great ball. If Sandalio Mocellar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Machin kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The long shot by Sandalio Mocellar in the 34th minute really tested Jaen Viñas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 44 minutes of play, CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³'s Pastor Jacome made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaen Viñas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Sandalio Mocellar made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Tor Tugay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor Tugay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute Sandalio Mocellar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaen Viñas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tor Tugay's late challenge caught a Giron FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tor Tugay helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! When Jacek Solibieda came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacek Solibieda couldn't finish the play. After 70 minutes, Sedeni Celerain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³ and the Giron FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³ getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Sedeni Celerain hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Jacek Solibieda managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jacek Solibieda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaen Viñas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Giron FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Jacome came free, but Jaen Viñas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Jacek Solibieda managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF RUBÍN ᴳ⁸³'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jacek Solibieda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
