In the 3rd minute, Warren Gabriel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Warren Gabriel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kory Harvey having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ted Spencer during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17thth minute of the game Ray Sutton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pittsfield's Kory Harvey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Warren Gabriel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Pittsfield getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Sherwood Daly hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Warren Gabriel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kory Harvey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Pittsfield defense, Warren Gabriel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kory Harvey. The Pittsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kory Harvey should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Pittsfield booed when Philippi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Spencer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Warren Gabriel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Philippi fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Philippi's Ray Sutton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Pittsfield players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Philippi were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Warren Gabriel made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Pittsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Warren Gabriel came free, but Kory Harvey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ray Sutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Warren Gabriel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Kory Harvey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ray Sutton got free with Kory Harvey in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Philippi booed when Pittsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wade Keene didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pittsfield were furious when Wesley Pruett was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 68 minutes into the game, one of Pittsfield:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 70th minute of the game, Philippi got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. In the 78th minute of the match Bronson Meza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kory Harvey skillfully saved the ball. When the match had been going on for 81 minutes Duke Krause shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Roman Cobb when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. In the 84th match minute, Pittsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin Boyle to maneuver through the defense. Philippi's Ray Sutton got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pittsfield's Kory Harvey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Pittsfield from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Warren Gabriel took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Kory Harvey to make any attempt to save it. Warren Gabriel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kory Harvey having to interfere. Kory Harvey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warren Gabriel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Philippi left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pittsfield.
