Teddy Kirkpatrick came out of the goal and Quincy Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gregorio Begay to strike the kick off in the second half. Quincy Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teddy Kirkpatrick having to interfere. Clinton Lunsford hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Scott MacFarland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George West FC's Teddy Kirkpatrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy Valle in the 61st minute of play. When Sterling Cohen came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ashland FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sterling Cohen couldn't finish the play. A collision led to George West FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Giovanni Alden hit a great ball. With a little luck, George West FC's Teddy Kirkpatrick got control of the ball when Sterling Cohen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teddy Kirkpatrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quincy Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quincy Valle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teddy Kirkpatrick having to make a save. Gregorio Begay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Josiah Taylor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sterling Cohen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teddy Kirkpatrick made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Sterling Cohen sent off a good shot on target. Derek Ryder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute.
