One of Bliss Corner FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Michigan City:s goal. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Michigan City. Antony Nicholson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brett Winslow. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Kirk Chappelle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brett Winslow was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Bliss Corner FC's zone, Kirk Chappelle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brett Winslow came out of the goal and Kirk Chappelle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pete Kendrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brett Winslow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirk Chappelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pete Kendrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Winston Stoddard fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bliss Corner FC's protests and gave Winston Stoddard a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Bliss Corner FC got a freekick which was hit by Winston Stoddard. In the 35th minute, Kirk Chappelle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Chappelle in the 38th minute of play forced Bliss Corner FC's goalkeeper Brett Winslow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Pete Kendrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Michigan City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pete Kendrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Bennett Mohr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Michigan City's supporters rose to their feet, but Bennett Mohr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brett Winslow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kirk Chappelle scored 2-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brett Winslow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bradley Parham made a kick off. Brett Winslow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirk Chappelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Roscoe Payton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pete Kendrick took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brett Winslow. Brett Winslow dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Chappelle in the 66th minute of play forced Bliss Corner FC's goalkeeper Brett Winslow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kirk Chappelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pete Kendrick scored 4-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brett Winslow, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pete Kendrick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Michigan City booed when Bliss Corner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. William McKinney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kirk Chappelle struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Brett Winslow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Michigan City. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kirk Chappelle in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brett Winslow prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 87 minutes into the match, Bliss Corner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pete Kendrick came free, but Brett Winslow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Pete Kendrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Michigan City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pete Kendrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pete Kendrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Winslow having to interfere. If Pete Kendrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kirk Chappelle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brett Winslow having to make a save. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bliss Corner FC's goalkeeper Brett Winslow, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pete Kendrick might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brett Winslow. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pete Kendrick ran back to his position shaking his head. Michigan City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
