When Hialeah's Johnny Armenta in 16 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Pete Miller guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 18th minute Johnny Armenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Miller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pete Miller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Armenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronnie Boyd in the 23rd minute of play forced Hialeah's goalkeeper Trevor Montano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnny Armenta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Johnny Armenta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pete Miller. Johnny Armenta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sheldon Koehler got free with Pete Miller in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chicago Pierogi's Pete Miller proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Chicago Pierogi from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Chicago Pierogi's zone, Johnny Armenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pete Miller came out of the goal and Johnny Armenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 95 played minutes Hialeah got a freekick which was hit by Aidan Hogue. If Pierre Handy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hialeah walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
