Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gordon Clifford made the kick off and thus started the match. Riley McGowan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Juan Pujols tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Olin Bowden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kellogg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elfers FC the free kick. The supporters of Elfers FC booed when Kellogg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olin Bowden didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Riley McGowan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elfers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Riley McGowan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kellogg FC's goalkeeper Juan Pujols, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Henry Bernier fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gordon Clifford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Pujols having to interfere. Henry Bernier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Jim Timmons made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Domenico McKinnon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Elfers FC's goalkeeper Jim Timmons had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henry Bernier. Jim Timmons was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Ted Braxton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ted Braxton really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. With a little luck, Elfers FC's Jim Timmons got control of the ball when Henry Bernier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After some careless play in the Kellogg FC defense, Riley McGowan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Pujols. The Kellogg FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Pujols should have stopped the shot. After 54 played minutes Elfers FC got a freekick which was hit by Domenico McKinnon. Jim Timmons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Bernier in the 59th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Gordon Clifford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kellogg FC's Juan Pujols was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Braxton in the 68th minute of play forced Elfers FC's goalkeeper Jim Timmons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elfers FC's Jim Timmons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Bernier in the 71st minute of play. After 77 played minutes, Kellogg FC's Brendon Rasmussen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jim Timmons came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kellogg FC reached it. Ted Braxton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jim Timmons read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elfers FC's goalkeeper Jim Timmons, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ted Braxton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Riley McGowan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute Henry Bernier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Timmons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kellogg FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
