After having played for 4 minutes, Rodger Burr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tunkhannock AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodger Burr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Scotchtown FC's John Graves got a free kick in the 5th minute. Rodger Burr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Barnard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Salvador Toth skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Christian Yarbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodger Burr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Eusebio Knutson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Scotchtown FC defense, Rodger Burr kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusebio Knutson. The Scotchtown FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusebio Knutson should have stopped the shot. Rodger Burr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Scotchtown FC's Eusebio Knutson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Abernathy in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodger Burr in the 31st minute of play forced Scotchtown FC's goalkeeper Eusebio Knutson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paul Abernathy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tunkhannock AFC booed when Scotchtown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Lefler didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Christian Yarbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Abernathy made a kick off. With a little luck, Scotchtown FC's Eusebio Knutson got control of the ball when Rodger Burr tried to sneak it across the goal line. Scotchtown FC's Victor Barnard got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 59 minutes, Paul Abernathy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tunkhannock AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Abernathy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Tunkhannock AFC's Paul Abernathy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. With a little luck, Scotchtown FC's Eusebio Knutson got control of the ball when Rodger Burr tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Eli Schmitz put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Scotchtown FC's Jaime Lefler got a free kick in the 85th minute. Nathan Travis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Eusebio Knutson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Victor Barnard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Tunkhannock AFC got a freekick which was hit by Palmer Griffith. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tunkhannock AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
