Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) David Pratt started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Green Forest's goal looked a bit too open when Devin Thurman came free, but Jim Zepeda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim Zepeda made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Warren Poirier sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Bachman in the 15th minute of play forced Fort Collins FC's goalkeeper Al Gibbons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Green Forest's Fred Bachman in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fort Collins FC's goalie prevented a goal. Devin Thurman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Zepeda having to interfere. Devin Thurman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jim Zepeda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Errol Jameson fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fort Collins FC's protests and gave Errol Jameson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fort Collins FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Errol Jameson hit a great ball. Fred Bachman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute of the match Javier Olson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jim Zepeda skillfully saved the ball. In the 48th match minute, Green Forest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Turner to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Devin Thurman was the one to do the kick off. When Bernardo Turner fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Green Forest's protests and gave Bernardo Turner a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Green Forest got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Turner. Kristofer Chambers, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jim Zepeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devin Thurman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fred Bachman might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Al Gibbons. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Bachman ran back to his position shaking his head. If David Pratt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that David Pratt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Al Gibbons was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute, Warren Poirier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fort Collins FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when David Pratt 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Al Gibbons made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fred Bachman in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Warren Poirier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fort Collins FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Warren Poirier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Devin Thurman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jim Zepeda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Green Forest had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
