Elmwood Place's Gustavo Saenz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Elmwood Place from getting a goal against them. Robin Ott might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Saenz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elmwood Place's goalkeeper Gustavo Saenz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robin Ott to strike the kick off in the second half. The tension between the Elmwood Place and the Pembroke Pines players grew even worse after the yellow card.
