After a rather tough play, Belleair Bluffs AFC's Vincenzo Benavides got a free kick in the 10th minute. Victor Hollingsworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Hollingsworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wyatt Culver having to interfere. Stigler's Victor Hollingsworth got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 22 in the game by Terence Baltazar from a close distance when the talented Wyatt Culver managed to make a qualified save. Belleair Bluffs AFC's players were relieved. Ricky Shirley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wyatt Culver. Belleair Bluffs AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Victor Hollingsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Wyatt Culver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stacy McCain's late challenge caught a Stigler's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stacy McCain helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Stigler booed when Belleair Bluffs AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stacy McCain didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Hollingsworth in the 29th minute of play forced Belleair Bluffs AFC's goalkeeper Wyatt Culver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Belleair Bluffs AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Hollingsworth came free, but Wyatt Culver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Fletcher Negron notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Stigler's Trenton Landry. Trenton Landry was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Vincenzo Benavides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stigler's goalkeeper Trenton Landry, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Stigler's zone, Joel Britton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trenton Landry came out of the goal and Joel Britton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Victor Hollingsworth made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Belleair Bluffs AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eliseo James who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo James got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wyatt Culver quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Stigler's Trenton Landry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Stigler from getting a goal against them. After 61 minutes of play, Stigler's Terence Baltazar made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wyatt Culver was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stigler's Trenton Landry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Britton in the 67th minute of play. With a little luck, Stigler's Trenton Landry got control of the ball when Fletcher Negron tried to sneak it across the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Stigler's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Britton came free, but Trenton Landry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Victor Hollingsworth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stigler's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Hollingsworth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Theo Tanner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
