Basil Ray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute Andrew Gibbons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Weir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogalusa's Ernesto Weir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Gibbons in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Diego Stearns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basil Ray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Stearns, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Diego Stearns notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of New Baden's Basil Ray. Basil Ray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diego Stearns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonah Milligan struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ernesto Weir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Baden. When Andrew Gibbons came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the New Baden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrew Gibbons couldn't finish the play. The supporters of New Baden booed when Bogalusa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Law didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, New Baden's Stanton Stuart broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Stanton Stuart kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Bogalusa's Ernesto Weir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Gibbons in the 40th minute of play. If Andrew Gibbons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 46 minutes, Maxwell Nance managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bogalusa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maxwell Nance was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Diego Stearns made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Stearns in the 54th minute of play forced New Baden's goalkeeper Basil Ray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Maxwell Nance ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basil Ray was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A hard shot 60 in the game by Jonah Milligan from a close distance when the talented Ernesto Weir managed to make a qualified save. Bogalusa's players were relieved. In the 63rd minute, New Baden's Jonah Milligan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ernesto Weir. Ernesto Weir yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. New Baden's Jonah Milligan got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Odell Lacey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrew Gibbonss short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Ernesto Weir to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Stanton Stuart lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of New Baden:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bogalusa:s goal. The referee gave Bogalusa a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Brendon Major, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of New Baden's Basil Ray. 3-2. Andrew Gibbons's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Weir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Andrew Gibbons made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Weir. Bogalusa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. After a rather tough play, Bogalusa's Odell Lacey got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ernesto Weir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrew Gibbons in the 93rd minute. Bogalusa succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though New Baden had controlled the match.
