Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Leif Fox started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamal Mejia in the 6th minute of play forced Norwalk FC's goalkeeper Nelson Hinkle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Norwalk FC defense, Jamal Mejia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Hinkle. The Norwalk FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Hinkle should have stopped the shot. Jamal Mejia might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelson Hinkle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jamal Mejia ran back to his position shaking his head. Mckinley Landis charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mckinley Landis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nelson Hinkle came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by West Point's Jamal Mejia. But to his dismay, Jamal Mejia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Leif Fox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elton Fenton's late challenge caught a West Point's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elton Fenton helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of West Point booed when Norwalk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elton Fenton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Mckinley Landis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Norwalk FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Royce Russo hit a great ball. Jamal Mejia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nelson Hinkle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Norwalk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Fox to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Norwalk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Lemons came free, but Nelson Hinkle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Ruben Childress shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Hinkle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Norwalk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thaddeus Henson came free, but Nelson Hinkle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jamal Mejia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Norwalk FC's Leif Fox got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 54 played minutes Norwalk FC got a freekick which was hit by Mckinley Landis. If Ruben Childress had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Leif Fox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Ruben Childress could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Nelson Hinkle however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Norwalk FC's Elton Fenton got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Ruben Childress fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Hinkle having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Ruben Childress managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Point's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Childress was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Jamal Mejia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nelson Hinkle. That made the score 0-3 in the 95 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched West Point eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
