Zachary's Thanh Caballero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chase Fowler in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Sands in the 7th minute of play forced Zachary's goalkeeper Thanh Caballero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanh Caballero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thanh Washburn in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute, Edgerton FC's Ronny Sandoval dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 17 minutes of play, Zachary's Jesus Allen made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Calvin Cahill was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, Edgerton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Fuentes came free, but Calvin Cahill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Edgerton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Allen came free, but Calvin Cahill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Thanh Washburn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Edgerton FC's Ronny Sandoval sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thanh Caballero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donovan Barber's late challenge caught a Edgerton FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donovan Barber helped the player get up and apologised. 35 minutes into the game, one of Zachary:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Edgerton FC's Chase Fowler got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Thanh Caballero. 44 minutes into the game, Pierre Pagan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thanh Caballero. Pierre Pagan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. A hard shot 47 in the game by Thanh Washburn from a close distance when the talented Thanh Caballero managed to make a qualified save. Zachary's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jesus Allen made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Jesus Allen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calvin Cahill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanh Caballero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronny Sandoval's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thanh Washburn in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thanh Caballero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Edgerton FC's zone, Marcus Fuentes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calvin Cahill came out of the goal and Marcus Fuentes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Ronny Sandoval made a precise shot to the right of Thanh Caballero. Zachary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Thanh Caballero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanh Washburn in the 80th minute of play. After 83 played minutes Edgerton FC got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Pagan. Calvin Cahill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Allen, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute, Marcus Fuentes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zachary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. If Marcus Fuentes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Fuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calvin Cahill having to interfere.
