After a rather tough play, NEWCASTLE UNITED's Mohammad Chung got a free kick in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in NEWCASTLE UNITED's zone, Ronny Sandoval stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noah Lovell came out of the goal and Ronny Sandoval tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. NEWCASTLE UNITED's Eddie Hester got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noah Lovell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanh Washburn in the 41st minute of the match. If Robby Maynard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Mohammad Chung had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Calvin Cahill. Edgerton FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mohammad Chung was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.

When Pierre Pagan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 53 minutes had been played. The supporters of NEWCASTLE UNITED booed when Edgerton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Pagan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Robby Maynard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Eddie Hester left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Noah Lovell came out of the goal and Thanh Washburn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanh Washburn in the 94th minute of play forced NEWCASTLE UNITED's goalkeeper Noah Lovell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NEWCASTLE UNITED played a much better game than Edgerton FC and deserved their victory. The Edgerton FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
