When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vernon Abbott was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Jordan Marcus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Follette FC's Corey Francis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 54 played minutes Pontotoc got a freekick which was hit by Brent Sierra. In the 57th match minute, Pontotoc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Landon Middleton to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Vernon Abbott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Errol Carlton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Whittaker in the 81st minute of play forced La Follette FC's goalkeeper Corey Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jose Whittaker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Corey Francis was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, La Follette FC's goalkeeper Corey Francis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jordan Marcus.
