The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Bearden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kelly Rivera having to interfere. The supporters of Madawaska booed when Lara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dexter Weir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murray Morrison took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kelly Rivera. Lara FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 19 minutes, Ramiro Lockhart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Madawaska and the Lara FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Madawaska:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lara FC:s goal. Dan Bearden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Dexter Weir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Kelly Rivera managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Madawaska's Chad Washington fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 33rd minute Walton Mayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincenzo Ward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kelly Rivera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chad Washington in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Lara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dexter Weir to maneuver through the defense. The Lara FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Karros in the 87th minute of play forced Lara FC's goalkeeper Kelly Rivera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lara FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dexter Weir hit a great ball. Vincenzo Ward was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Walton Mayer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Walton Mayer really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Dexter Weir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincenzo Ward having to interfere.
