Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Minneapolis's Douglas Howell started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Douglas Howell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duncan Braden was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Douglas Howell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Minneapolis's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Varner came free, but Duane Brownell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Minneapolis's goalkeeper Duane Brownell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Woody Coulter. Duane Brownell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Varner, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Sal Clemons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Sal Clemons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Braden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tristan Varner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duane Brownell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Varner in the 32nd minute of the match. Duncan Braden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sal Clemons in the 38th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tristan Varner made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Arturo Arden shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duncan Braden showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Duncan Braden made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Sal Clemons sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Minneapolis's Douglas Howell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duncan Braden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Woody Coulter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Duane Brownell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duane Brownell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Woody Coulter in the 67th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Rex Turner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, West Branch's goalkeeper Duncan Braden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sal Clemons. Douglas Howell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Duncan Braden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tristan Varner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Duane Brownell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Woody Coulter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Duane Brownell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Woody Coulter's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Woody Coulter struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Duane Brownell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Branch. Duncan Braden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Howell, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Minneapolis supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Minneapolis would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
