Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Earl Cox took the kick off in the first half of the match. Saraland's Earl Cox got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Clinton Paige had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute, Alexis Thomason ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanley Stacy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Clinton Paige fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanley Stacy having to interfere. Troy Harper's late challenge caught a Dolgeville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Troy Harper helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Saraland getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Troy Harper hit a great ball. Clinton Paige fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanley Stacy having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dolgeville's zone, Earl Cox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Hensley came out of the goal and Earl Cox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clinton Paige in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanley Stacy saved Saraland from getting behind. The supporters of Dolgeville booed when Saraland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathon Merritt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Clinton Paige had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Hays recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Clinton Paige came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Dolgeville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clinton Paige couldn't finish the play. Adolfo Hays fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanley Stacy having to interfere. Troy Harper kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Stanley Stacy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Hays in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Armando Kelly was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dolgeville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saraland the free kick. After some careless play in the Dolgeville defense, Earl Cox kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sergio Hensley. The Dolgeville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sergio Hensley should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clinton Paige to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Clinton Paige's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanley Stacy was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Stanley Stacy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Hays in the 60th minute. Saraland's Larry Sargent got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Larry Sargent left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saraland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Adolfo Hays who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Stanley Stacy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stanley Stacy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Hays's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Clinton Paige kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Saraland's Larry Sargent in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dolgeville's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Saraland's zone, Adolfo Hays stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanley Stacy came out of the goal and Adolfo Hays tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clinton Paige received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Stanley Stacy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Larry Sargent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Earl Cox managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saraland's supporters rose to their feet, but Earl Cox was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Hensley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Larry Sargent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Saraland fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dolgeville had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
