After 5 minutes of play, Wolverine Lake's Dallas Mayo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willy Durham was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute Dallas Mayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willy Durham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Davis Wagner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolverine Lake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davis Wagner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nittany Lions's Willy Durham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Nittany Lions from getting a goal against them. Ted Yoshioka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willis Buckley in the 21st minute of play. Nittany Lions's Willy Durham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dallas Mayo in the 25th minute of play. Dallas Mayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dallas Mayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Willy Durham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kip Dawkins kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Willy Durham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dallas Mayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Willy Durham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dallas Mayo's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the last second Willy Durham throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dallas Mayo in the 41stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Davis Wagner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davis Wagner in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Willy Durham, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dallas Mayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ted Yoshioka made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Kip Dawkins sent off a good shot on target. Davis Wagner might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Willy Durham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davis Wagner ran back to his position shaking his head. Davis Wagner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nittany Lions's Willy Durham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dallas Mayo in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Davis Wagner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolverine Lake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davis Wagner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Wolverine Lake fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Wolverine Lake's Dallas Mayo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dallas Mayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Willy Durham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Dallas Mayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolverine Lake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dallas Mayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ted Yoshioka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willis Buckley in the 95th minute of play. If Dallas Mayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wolverine Lake's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
