Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marlin Boone started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Willie Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cockrell Hill AFC! Elliott Vera walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Josiah Drew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rigoberto Matson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josiah Drew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Reinaldo Hathaway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rigoberto Matson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cockrell Hill AFC booed when West Concord was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Byers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in West Concord's zone, Rigoberto Matson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Winford Fernandez came out of the goal and Rigoberto Matson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Winford Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Matson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Cockrell Hill AFC's Marlin Boone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Winford Fernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vern Wheeler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 played minutes Cockrell Hill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Willie Delgado. After 38 played minutes Cockrell Hill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Curran. After 40 played minutes, West Concord's Oswaldo Stokes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reinaldo Hathaway came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in West Concord reached it. 43 minutes into the match, West Concord's goal looked a bit too open when Marlin Boone came free, but Winford Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes West Concord got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Brady. A collision led to Cockrell Hill AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Francisco Curran hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josiah Drew stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rigoberto Matson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Winford Fernandez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 52nd of the match, Marlin Boone tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Winford Fernandez got in the way and made a wonderful save. Reinaldo Hathaway stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josiah Drew's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 64 minutes into the game, Marlin Boone recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Winford Fernandez. Marlin Boone showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Vern Wheeler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Hathaway having to interfere. Winford Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marlin Boone in the 79th minute of play. Josiah Drew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Reinaldo Hathaway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vern Wheeler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Hathaway read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Marlin Boone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cockrell Hill AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marlin Boone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Winford Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reinaldo Hathaway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vern Wheeler in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cockrell Hill AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
