The audience was convinced that Luther Ellison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bronson Polk was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. With 14 minutes on the clock, Gregorio Pollard commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 13 minutes into the game, one of Sebastian FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Brandon Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sebastian FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brandon Mendez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kent Huber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luther Ellison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bronson Polk having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Sebastian FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luther Ellison came free, but Bronson Polk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, FC VAHE's Santos Baker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bronson Polk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC VAHE's zone, Wally Goldsmith stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kent Huber came out of the goal and Wally Goldsmith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregorio Adkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian FC's Bronson Polk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luther Ellison in the 40th minute of play. Bronson Polk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luther Ellison in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santos Baker to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Luther Ellison recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bronson Polk.
