In the 67th match minute, Nicholasville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Bruce to maneuver through the defense. Gregorio Pollard was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Claudio Sierra came out of the goal and Wally Goldsmith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Jeffrey Hoskins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nicholasville FC's Claudio Sierra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sebastian FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
