In the 21st match minute, FC VAHE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Townsend to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Cermak in the 24th minute of play forced FC VAHE's goalkeeper Kent Huber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Isidro Cermak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, FC VAHE's Kent Huber got control of the ball when Brendon Pendleton tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Santos Baker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC VAHE's Luther Ellison got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nicholasville FC reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santos Baker to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC VAHE's goalkeeper Kent Huber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Claudio Sierra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santos Baker in the 56th minute. Luther Ellison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Isidro Cermak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Isidro Cermak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kent Huber was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Isidro Cermak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Kent Huber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidro Cermak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, FC VAHE's goal looked a bit too open when Wilbur Cain came free, but Kent Huber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Isidro Cermak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nicholasville FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidro Cermak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kent Huber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Nicholasville FC's David Bruce got a free kick in the 91st minute. Kent Huber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brendon Pendleton's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
