Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Aspen's Tyler Mendez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Woody Crowell in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonzo Cardoso saved Rolling Fork from getting behind. Rashad Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. When Woody Crowell came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Aspen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Woody Crowell couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Rolf Mackey got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ramiro Talbot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rolf Mackey showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Rolf Mackey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes, Rashad Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aspen and the Rolling Fork players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Aspen getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rashad Perez hit a great ball. Donovan Henry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ramiro Talbot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Tyler Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aspen's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyler Mendez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonzo Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Woody Crowell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emmitt Hawthorne in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro Talbot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 38 minutes, Woody Crowell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aspen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Woody Crowell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aspen were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Rolling Fork's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cason Cameron took the corner. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aspen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Moses Shepard was slow to take the kick. During this time Rolling Fork's players had a chance to rest. Moses Shepard made a great header on Rolling Fork's corner, it was just that Aspen's Ramiro Talbot managed to reach the ball for a save. Tyler Mendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With splendid footwork Tyler Mendez arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 68th minute. Rolling Fork were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Aspen for a fine match.
