Real Madrid's Mikolaj Chazon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Walsh in the 3rd minute of play. Scotty Vasquez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Clint Holbrook skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Welsh's Clint Holbrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scotty Vasquez in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Gerard Walsh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Chazon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Stephen Harvey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudolf Parrish kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Welsh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bob Harding to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Ruben Link hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31stth minute of the game Cary Davies who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Madrid's Mikolaj Chazon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vicente Descoteaux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Welsh's Clint Holbrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Descoteaux in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Scotty Vasquez made a precise shot to the right of Clint Holbrook. Welsh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 43 minutes into the match, Welsh's goalkeeper Clint Holbrook had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Scotty Vasquez. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Welsh's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Andy Sherrill was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Madrid's players had a chance to rest. Mikolaj Chazon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Walsh in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Scotty Vasquez made the kick off in the second half. Welsh's Clint Holbrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scotty Vasquez in the 54th minute of play. After 55 minutes Welsh's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andy Sherrill who took care of the corner kick. Vicente Descoteaux struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Clint Holbrook didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Madrid. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Parrish in the 64th minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Mikolaj Chazon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Frantzes's late challenge caught a Welsh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Frantzes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid's Dante Frantzes got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute of the match Matt Driscoll shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikolaj Chazon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Stephen Harvey in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Madrid's Dante Frantzes. In the 74th minute, Gerard Walsh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 minutes, Scotty Vasquez made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Welsh's Clint Holbrook tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Welsh defense, Scotty Vasquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clint Holbrook. The Welsh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clint Holbrook should have stopped the shot. Vicente Descoteaux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Scotty Vasquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Clint Holbrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Real Madrid were the better team. Real Madrid's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
