The audience was convinced that Damian Dodson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cliff Pacheco was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Alcanar Club de Fútbol's attack was well implemented in the 9th minute, but when Damian Dodson was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. A collision led to Storm Lake getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jasper Boles hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Alcanar Club de Fútbol's Wilbert Benoit in action when he in the 13th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Algot Groth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintin Reid, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Daren Vang struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Cliff Pacheco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alcanar Club de Fútbol. Quintin Reid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Algot Groth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Quintin Reid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storm Lake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quintin Reid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Algot Groth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jude Schroeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Alcanar Club de Fútbol's Rickard Jespersson got a free kick in the 38th minute. Daren Vang succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Algot Groth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jude Schroeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jude Schroeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daren Vang stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daren Vang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Alcanar Club de Fútbol's Julian Donnelly got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Daren Vang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. In the 82nd minute Damian Dodson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cliff Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Daren Vang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quintin Reid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Groth having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Jude Schroeder recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Algot Groth. Jude Schroeder showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
