Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Charles Hargrove made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, New York City FC's Cruz Stallings got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 4 played minutes New York City FC got a freekick which was hit by Cruz Stallings. It was beautiful to see Rice Lake's Sandy Bridges in action when he in the 6th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After having played for 7 minutes, Amador Lauren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Lauren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, New York City FC's Lewis Potter got a free kick in the 9th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Charles Hargrove recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Duncan Grubb. Charles Hargrove showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 19th minute of the match, Garry Masters got a very nice opportunity to score, but Duncan Grubb was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 20 minutes into the match, Charles Hargrove dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Duncan Grubb, 2-0. A throw-in in the 25th minute of the game was made by Sandy Bridges with Sandy Pollard as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jerome Madsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rico Timmons in the 28th minute of the match. New York City FC's Duncan Grubb proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save New York City FC from getting a goal against them. Jerome Madsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Lauren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 35 minutes, Rico Timmons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rico Timmons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amador Lauren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Madsen having to interfere. Rico Timmons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 41st match minute, Rice Lake was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Dye to maneuver through the defense. Amador Lauren might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerome Madsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amador Lauren ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute, Amador Lauren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amador Lauren might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerome Madsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amador Lauren ran back to his position shaking his head.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amador Lauren to make the kick off. Danny Irizarry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Jerome Madsen made a huge save. Rico Timmons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Madsen having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Amador Lauren put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jerome Madsen. New York City FC's Duncan Grubb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Masters in the 63rd minute of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Rico Timmons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rico Timmons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amador Lauren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Jerome Madsen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Rico Timmons came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the New York City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rico Timmons couldn't finish the play. Jerome Madsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Lauren in the 75th minute of the match. With his leg Jerome Madsen managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when New York City FC's Amador Lauren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rico Timmons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80thth minute of the game Amador Lauren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rice Lake's Jerome Madsen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. New York City FC's Rico Timmons got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerome Madsen came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by New York City FC's Amador Lauren. But to his dismay, Amador Lauren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Danny Irizarry got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amador Lauren in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerome Madsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roger Kelly's late challenge caught a New York City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Kelly helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Rice Lake got a freekick which was hit by Roger Kelly. Jerome Madsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Nicholas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duncan Grubb came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Rice Lake's Shaun Duff. But to his dismay, Shaun Duff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Despite being the better team, New York City FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
